Lifestyle Family and Maternity Session at Max Patch Mountain
Meet the Eatons. This family right here (seen above) will always hold a special place in my heart. I will never forget the first email that I got from Alexa regarding booking a lifestyle family photography session with me. I was sitting at my kitchen table and saw an email come through to my watch and I immediately squealed and ran and told my husband that I had just gotten my first real photography inquiry! The first few months after I had officially launched my lifestyle family photography business back in April 2018, I started photographing families that I already knew so that I could build a portfolio, but Alexa was the first person to submit a photo inquiry that I didn't already know and I was super stoked! I will always remember them and that day and I will always be grateful for them and their business.
Tangent but truthful, the reason I'm telling you this because this is literally how excited I get when I get photography inquiries to this day. I always get this heart jump when I know that there is an opportunity to meet new people and capture their beautiful moments in time! Whether it be from friends or family that I already know or to those families who I haven't yet got the chance to meet, I love what I do so much and getting the opportunity and being considered to have the chance to work with new families and watch them grow is my absolute favorite!
With that said, not only have the Eatons become my friends, but being able to watch their kids grow and their family grow has been an absolute privilege. When Alexa told me last year that they were going to be moving to Thailand in the near future I was so surprised, sad, and excited for them all at the same time. This family has such a strong love for the Lord and had been called to serve him all the way in Thailand! I am so proud to call her and her family friends and I absolutely can't wait to see all the amazing things that they'll do in Thailand:)
I can now say that I've photographed this family through two pregnancies and although I won't be able to capture their newest baby girl's arrival in September, we decided we would trek to Max Patch Mountain in North Carolina for an epic last maternity session and for some timeless mountain memories as a their last days of their family of five! For the Eatons, it's not a goodbye, it's a see you later.
